9ff GT9 and H&R Aim for Speed Record
August 4, 2007

Suspension specialist H&R is joining up with tuner 9ff in an attempt to beat the Bugatti Veyron’s unofficial speed record of 254 mph. 9ff has been working on the mid-engined GT9 while H&R was working on its own car, the Mission 400 Plus edition of the 911 Turbo. H&R is apparently dropping that project in order to provide chassis components for the GT9.
They plan to run the car in Italy this fall and attempt to top 400 kph (249 mph). Next stop after that: the 409 kph (254 mph) Veyron target. Oh, and as a bonus, 9ff has already presold two GT9s for $500,000 each.
