Wired Magazine Drives the 911 Turbo Cabriolet
September 12, 2007

Wow, I didn’t realize Wired was in the business of test-driving cars. But if I was in their shoes, I’d use any excuse to get behind the wheel of a new 911 turbo cabriolet.
Bruce Gain took the car for a drive in Germany on the Autobahn, but was too scared to shift into sixth gear. Then, he spends the rest of the article talking about the sound system and other high-tech features of the car, like the PASM and all-wheel-drive. Finally, he hones in the true attraction of this car: the gobs of power.
Like an overclocked PC, the 911 Turbo Cabriolet’s engine emits a huge amount of thermal energy in a confined space.
It’s an entertaining read with a slightly different perspective of the ultimate summertime rocket.
