Porsche Extends Valmet Contract
October 24, 2007

Porsche has announced it has extended its agreement with Valment Automotive through 2011. Valmet, located in Finland, began producing Boxsters for Porsche in 1997 when Porsche could not keep up with demand. The plant now builds Caymans too.
The Boxster and Cayman engines are still manufactured by Porsche in Zuffenhausen and sent to Valmet by train. Valmet has built over 180,000 vehicles in the Boxster series.
