Porsche Threatens to Pull Out of ALMS
December 19, 2007

Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking has said that if the ALMS rules are changed in Audi’s favor, Porsche may pull out of the series.
The RS Spyder, which runs in LMP2, embarrassed the LMP1 entry from Audi for much of 2007, and Audi is arguing that LMP2 has an unfair weight advantage and wants something done about it. No word yet on what the new ALMS rules will bring, but signs point to a weight penalty for LMP2.
This will be interesting to watch.
