2009 911 Details Leaked
April 27, 2008

Someone leaked a document on the Internets that detailed all the changes for the 2009 911. Some of the details were already known, but some are new.
The 911 will get direct fuel injection like the Cayennes, which will boost horsepower and fuel mileage. The 3.6 liter engine will jump 20 hp to 345 hp. The 3.8 liter engine will gain 30 hp to 385 hp. The entire range will get a new front bumper with larger air intakes and lights, a new rear bumper, and semi-integrated stainless steel tailpipes. The non-S models get revised brakes, and new wheels will join the party.
Also, an enhanced version of PSM (Porsche Stability Management) will be available with additional functions on the Carrera models; a mechanical limited-slip differential will be standard on the Targa 4 and Carrera 4 models; and, the big news, a 7-speed PDK sequential two-shaft transmission will also be available.
The new models should be on sale in September.
