F1 Not in the Future for Porsche (or VW)
April 27, 2008

It’s that time of the year again. You know, that time when everyone start asking Porsche if they will enter Formula 1. And of course, every year Porsche says “no.”
This year, they (along with Volkswagen) elaborated a little bit on their answer. Of course, they cited money as an obstacle. VW chairman Ferdinand Piech said “300 million euros a year – that is just burning money.”
But this year, he also cited the Max Mosely scandal as a reason for not being interested in F1. “After the affair with Max Mosley and the women, it would not be very savoury to get involved now,” he said.
Of course this isn’t a surprise to most Porsche racing fans. And that’s okay. Because we are all busy watching ALMS.
