It’s Official: Diesel Cayenne Coming in March 2009
July 17, 2008

The rumors were true. After saying they had no diesels in the works, Porsche did a 180 and announced they will offer an oil-burning pepper in March 2009.
The diesel Cayenne will use the Audi TDI V6, which displaces 3.0 liters and is good for 240 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque.
Now, if they offer this with a 6-speed manual like the GTS, they’ve got my interest.
